Edge Mining Emissions

The Aethir Edge emission schedule has a maximum of 23% of the total ATH token supply (approximately 9.66 billion tokens) allocated to miners over a ten-year period. As more Edge devices participate in the network, more emissions are unlocked according to the schedule, incentivizing users to contribute their computing power.

Note: All Edge rewards are subject to a 5% rewards network fee.

Emissions Schedule

The emissions schedule details how ATH tokens are allocated to Edge miners over time, influenced by the number of connected devices.

Important: The 40% figure for Year 1 is the maximum allocation from the total Edge supply that could be distributed in that year. The actual emission depends on the number of active Edge devices. More devices online lead to a higher percentage of this 40% being emitted.

Note: The table above shows data for up to 100,000 devices, but this is not the maximum limit, and more devices can be added in the future.

Reward Calculation for Table 2

The daily rewards for each Edge device are calculated based on the number of connected devices, the emissions schedule, and the portion of the total Edge allocation distributed in the first year (40%).

Example:

Let's say there are 20,000 devices active in Year 1. We can see from Table 2 that at 20,000 devices, there will be 1,656,594,346.92 ATH emitted for the year, or 82,829.72 ATH per device. To get the daily emissions, we would divide that number by 365 to get 226.93 ATH per device, per day. The final step is then to multiply this number by 40% (as we are in Year 1) to get 90.77 ATH.

Here’s the formula:

(1,656,594,346.92 [total emission for 20,000 devices] / 365 [days] / 20,000 [devices] * 0.40 [Year 1 vesting of 40%] = 90.77 ATH

Remember: This is just an estimated average within a range of connected devices. The actual reward may vary depending on the specific work done by each device and network conditions.

Additional Factors Influencing Rewards

• Reward Vesting: Edge rewards are subject to a vesting schedule. 30% of the rewards are available immediately, 30% after 90 days, and the remaining 40% after 180 days.

• Staking Requirements: You need to stake ATH tokens to activate your Edge device and fully participate in the network. The staking amount changes based on the total number of connected devices.

• 5% Rewards Network Fee: All Edge rewards are subject to a 5% rewards network fee.

• Device Uptime: To qualify for daily rewards, your device must be online and connected to your account for at least 20 hours each day.
