Acquiring ATH for Edge Staking

How to Bridge ATH for Edge Staking (Ethereum Network to Arbitrum network)

Since Edge devices require staking ATH on Arbitrum, and rewards are given on Arbitrum, but the ATH token is largely traded on Ethereum, users must use a cross-chain bridge to move tokens between these chains. The bridging process requires a gas fee, which is paid in ETH on the Arbitrum network. If you need assistance with this, see our guide on how to bridge ETH for gas fees.

Users can bridge using Squid Router here. The time for the transaction to complete can vary depending on network congestion. Once the transaction is completed, your ATH will be available on the Arbitrum network as ATH, ready for Edge staking on your Aethir Edge device.

Note: Only use Squid Router for bridging ATH between Ethereum and Arbitrum.

Purchase ATH on Exchanges

ATH is available for purchase on the following cryptocurrency exchanges:

You can create an account on a supported exchange, deposit funds, and then buy ATH tokens.

Swap Directly on Uniswap

If you don't have an exchange account, you can swap directly on Uniswap here.

  1. Connect your wallet.

  2. Select the token you want to swap from (e.g., ETH) and ATH as the token you want to receive.

  3. Enter the amount you wish to swap and confirm the transaction.

Once completed, your ATH will be deposited into your wallet.

Important:

  • ETH and ATH on Multiple Networks: Both ETH (Ethereum's native token) and ATH can exist on both the Ethereum network and the Arbitrum network.

  • Bridging to Arbitrum: Before sending ETH or ATH to your Edge wallet, you need to ensure they are on the Arbitrum network. Use a cross-chain bridge like Squid Router to transfer your tokens from Ethereum to Arbitrum.

  • Edge Wallet Compatibility: The Edge wallet is designed to interact with the Arbitrum network, so ensure your tokens are on this network before attempting to stake.
